New COE Landmark Unveiled
The College of Engineering Library and the Department of Computer Science recently celebrated
the future transfer to their new home by holding a "soft launch" and open house
at the new building along Velasquez Street (in front of NIGS) last November 12, 2005...

Hewlett-Packard Donation
On June 29, 2005, guests from Hewlett-Packard Philippines graced the ceremonial turnover
of the 12 HP-branded workstations to the Department of Computer Science.
This donation helped provide graduate students of the department
with their own research laboratory for their theses and projects. Mr. Paul Martin,
Director of Global Delivery Application Services, represented Hewlett-Packard Philippines.
Dean Rowena Cristina L. Guevara represented the College.
HP also donated 12 machines to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Trend Micro Donation
Trend Micro has chosen the Department as one of the first recipients of a software grant.
Trend Micro founder Steve Chang visited the Philippines for the official turnover last June 15, 2005.
Dean Rowena Cristina L. Guevara received the donation in behalf of the University.
April 29 '05
Accenture and Innove donation
Last April 29, 2005, Accenture and Innove donated computing equipment and peripherals to the Department.
The donation consisted of 21 personal computers, 9 inkjet printers, 3 external CD writers and 3 scanners.
The donations are currently housed in what was then the Andersen-endowed Classroom
but will be transferred to one of the three teaching laboratories in the new building.
